A day for the souls and saints

Since I just recently gave birth (1 week and 2 days ago), we weren’t able to go to my grandfather’s grave last Sunday. What the hubby and I did was, we bought candles and lit 6 of them outside our door. I’m not really sure what this tradition means. I just feel that its for the souls of all our departed loved ones. Probably to light their way during this special day when we all celebrate their “crossing”.
